LightNight unlocks the doors of our world-class museums, galleries and heritage sites until late, as the city is illuminated with an unforgettable trail of over 130 free events for all ages.
From 4pm on Friday 17th May visitors of all ages can follow their own vibrant trail of light projections, exhibitions, performances, talks, walks, tours, dance and much more. It’s the perfect chance to meet friends and family to enjoy the relaxed after-hours atmosphere and rediscover Liverpool city centre - it’s a Friday night out with a difference.
The Women's Organisation's home at 54 St James Street will be holding a Craft & Culture Business Exhibition' as part of the programme. Local businesses including 'The Button Boutique', 'Bebop Dancewear', 'Naomi Robinson Ceramics' 'Open Skies Arts', 'Purls of Wisdom', 'O'Naturelle', 'Hours of Fun' and 'China Pearl' will be displaying their products from 6pm-8.30pm with tours of the building available for anyone interested in checking out the meeting, events and conferencing space, or just wanting to hear about the history of the build and enjoy the city views available from our fourth floor roof terraces.
As part of the 'In Other Words' festival Liverpool Women Writers will be reading their work in the informal and friendly surroundings of Siren at 54 St James Street. This performance starting at 6pm on Light Night will be followed by a fantastic Chinese dance demonstration from China Pearl.
Light Night Recommended Route 'Family Route One' will bring you to the Baltic Triangle area so you can pop in here and follow the other fantastic events around our area.
