‘Now That I Have Found the Words’ with Rose Thomas @54StJamesStreet

Rose's novel tells the story of Bess, a woman from Liverpool 8, looking back on her life as she prepares to return to Liverpool from London where she has been living with her son.

Rose will read extracts from her novel-in-progress which depicts the lives and traumas of members of Liverpool's black community from the 1940's onward. Rose, a mother of 3, was born and brought up in Toxteth, and has written poems and plays.

Now in her seventies, after a long and varied career, she is writing her first novel.

Also featuring an acoustic set from Christine Q & Co.
