Up to £500 Extra Funding for Childminders & Nurseries Starting a New Business

The Government has announced that a new grant scheme available for people who want to set up a new nursery or a child-minding business, has been extended to 31st December 2014
The scheme is designed to get more women into work and help drive economic growth by offering grants of up to £500 to help cover things like:

• Legal and insurance costs
• Training
• Equipment
• Adapting premises.

The grants available include:

• £250 for new child-minding businesses
• £500 for new child-minding businesses that will provide care for disabled children
• £500 for new nursery, out of school club, or childcare on domestic premises setting up in England. 


Women in Merseyside setting themselves up as a childminder or developing a new nursery can get more information about this scheme and support to access The Women's Organisation's £200 grant package and up to £10,000 loans in addition to the Government grant.
