We love our building at 54 St James Street. We love the big, glass windows that let the light in all day, the open plan nature of the office culture, and the way the building is catered specifically to us, our needs and the needs of our tenants. In recent years, creating the perfect office space has become a big business. Massive corporations are spending millions to keep their employees happy and stimulated in an exciting and creating environment. We’ve picked 5 which we think are incredible. Wouldn’t you want to go to work every day if your office looked like these?
Mind Candy, is the company behind Moshi Monsters, and are a British entertainment company. Their offices are complete with a slide, treehouse, and ping pong table, among several other pieces of less traditional office furniture. Mind Candy is based in the heart of Shoreditch or Tech City, in East London
Hootsuite, the popular social media management tool has exceeded over six million users and is growing quickly. They recently bought an old police station in Vancouver and gave it a $1 million facelift, adding a private yoga studio, gym, office nap room. And. Free beer, on tap, on Fridays, in the kitchen!
Mother London is a creative agency which employs over 400 people across offices in London, New York on Buenos Aries. Its London office is located in Shoreditch and is a converted biscuit warehouse. The whole company sits around one enormous concrete workbench, ideal for team meetings and brainstorms
Scheduled for completion in 2016, it will house 4,500 busy Googlers, twice the number already employed in the company’s two London offices. It is honed on the Googleplex in California, a series of low-lying sheds, volleyball courts, yurt-shaped meeting rooms, 18 cafes, 60 snack kitchens, a bowling alley and two outdoor swimming pools. And don’t forget the mini-golf putting green.
Innocent Drinks are a fun and cheeky label, and their office reflects this culture. The crowning glory is the ground floor which is carpeted with jewel green fake grass and a large picnic area complete with bunting. Up on the mezzanine level, all the meeting rooms are named after different vegetables, and there is a terrace on the top floor.
