Well…What can we say? Last night was fantastic! We had an amazing evening at our Cheesey Festive Networking night and we hope that everyone who came did too! For those of you who couldn’t make it, here’s the lowdown on all the cheese related antics that we got up to last night!
Cheesey Festive Networking was our last Business Club event of 2015 and we definitely went out with a bang! The fourth floor of 54 St James Street was transformed into a festive Winter Wonderland complete with metres of fairy lights, a Christmas tree, crackers, candy canes, and of course a roaring fire which made us all feel very warm and cosy!
We welcomed Vicki from the Liverpool Cheese Company who had specially designed an incredible platter of 10 different cheeses, all made by women from across the globe. We’ve never met someone so knowledgeable about cheese, and as she talked us through each one, everyone enjoyed her interesting stories and tales, and of course, got to eat LOADS of yummy cheese.
As well as this we heard from the fantastic Gaelle from Keepoint Ltd who sponsored the evening, so a massive thank you to Gaelle. She introduced her business and kept everyone entertained making origami frogs and teaching us an important life lesson, if you don’t ask for instructions, making an origami frog can be pretty tricky! Or, if in business, as in life, if you need help then ask for it!
Our wonderful Business Club sponsors, Mitchell Charlesworth also joined us to enjoy the festivities, with Partner, Paul Durrance having the esteemed honour of drawing the raffle prizes. Now, if we do say so ourselves, the raffle was a sight to behold, and we want to take this opportunity to thank our amazing clients, friends and family who donated so generously to the raffle. Take a look at all of the prizes that we had on offer...And there was a lot!

So, with such an amazing array of raffle prizes up for grabs, our guests were keen to get their hands on the winning tickets. We had Santander joining us for the event, who were with us to sell raffle tickets and to double the total of the money made on the raffle! We were so happy to have the wonderful women from Santander with us, and delighted that they could help us raise money for the charitable arm of The Women’s Organisation so we can continue doing the work that we do, helping women across Merseyside.
Also, a special side note! Everyone was in a state of shock at lovely Caz The Painter who managed to win not 1 but 2 raffle prizes! As well as a bottle of fizz from The W.O for her hilarious ice breaker quiz answers! Well done Caz, we're not jealous one bit...(We are really!)
We’d also like to say a special thank you to our two Featured Businesses of the night, Jude Lennon from Little Lamb Tales and Elaine Courtney from Courtney Recruitment and Consultancy. These wonderful women had the chance to show off their businesses before we revealed our Winter Wonderland, and it was clear to see that they made the most of the opportunity! So thank you to our Featured Businesses of the night!
So, Cheesey Festive Networking and the final Business Club event of 2015 was a total success! We’ve had an incredible time launching our new Business Club and would like to say a big thank you to each and every one of our Business Club members and everyone that attends our events, because you are what makes them work!
The Women’s Organisation Business Club would like to wish you all a Happy Christmas and we look forward to seeing you in the New Year for a fruitful 2016! Keep your eyes peeled for January’s Business Club event!
