Did You Speedily Network With The WO Business Club?

Last Thursday members of The Women’s Organisation Business Club descended upon 54 St James Street for Summer Speed Networking. Over 35 business women had their business cards at the ready and were prepared to speedily network their way around the room. After an introductory pep talk from Training Coordinator Bernie Cox and a quick explanation of the rules of the evening, our women were set to the task!

Each conversation was timed and lasted 3 minutes so it was crucial to get the important points across quickly and well! If you’ve ever been to a networking event and struggled to make a key connection or found yourself talking to someone and 25 minutes later walking away with no idea what their business is or how you could help each other – this would be why you would need speedy networking!

We loved giving everyone there the opportunity to speak to every single other person in the room! By keeping it short and sweet our networkers were forced (…Gently coerced!) into getting straight to the point! After the speedy networking session a whole hour was dedicated to pure networking so everyone could continue speaking to those who they needed to or building on connections from previous events!

As always we would like to thank Business Club’s headline sponsors, Mitchell Charlesworth for helping to make this event possible! And also thankyou to Louise Casey and Carrie Arnold from Mitchell Charlesworth who joined us at the event and acted as some industry experts for our guests to ask their burning questions to! Along with Louise and Carrie, Sue Flannery from Cyberfrog Design Ltd and Natalie Hughes from Natwest were also speedily networking around the room, ready to answer questions popped to them by our networkers.

Next on the calendar is a VERY exciting event! Alongside our Festive Networking in December, August is a special Business Club occasion! On Tuesday 23rd August we will be hosting our Summer Social at Seven Zero One (Hotel Campanile), you can find out more details and book tickets over on Eventbrite! And keep your eyes peeled for some exciting details to be revealed soon…
