Why CIPS think 54 St James Street is the "Best Event Space” for them

54 St James Street

CIPS are regular users of 54 St James Street’s meeting and conferencing facilities. We contacted Director and Corporate Trainer Laura Taylor to find out what made CIPS choose and return to the meeting and conference centre based in the trendy Baltic Triangle district of Liverpool.

Hi Laura, tell us a bit about CIPS and what it is you do:

“I am a corporate trainer specialising in Procurement, influencing and body language.  I teach procurement degree in partnership with Chamber Business Training with is the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply otherwise known as CIPS.  This is the global standard of procurement expertise and is designed for buyers, exporters, merchandisers and procurement officers.”

When did you use 54 St James Street and what for?

“We use 54 St James Street as our Liverpool base for our CIPS lessons; we have ten centres across the UK and engaged in a lot of research before deciding on this venue.  We really believed that this was the best event space for our groups in Liverpool.”

How do you find the facilities and the overall atmosphere at 54 St James Street?

“The facilities are fantastic, the building is gorgeous, and the rooms are light and spacious with a lot of different options depending on the size of our groups.  The staff are so friendly and helpful and having the fantastic Siren as a basis for lunch and refreshments is an amazing extra.”

What do you look for in a venue?

“We look for a professional environment in a location that is easy to access.”

What are the key elements that make an event successful in your eyes?

“Quiet, professional and everything running in a timely manner – especially the refreshments!”

Why do you choose to return to 54 St James Street over other locations?

“The staff were provisional and responsive.  The building looks amazing, and the rooms are light and airy. The ability to have the café Siren on site was another added factor.”
