Maggie O'Carroll Will Be Putting Your Questions To Garston & Halewood Candidates On June 4th!

On Sunday 4th June 2017, St Peter’s Church, Woolton, is hosting a Hustings for voters in the constituency of Garston and Halewood. If you’re not familiar of St Peter’s Church, is it an iconic location where Lennon and McCartney met. This is a great and exciting event open for the public to get involved and put the candidates through their paces ahead of the General Election.
During the event, there will be a variety of candidates who will be discussing their views. These include: Lawrence Brown (Green), Maria Eagle (Labour), Adam Marsden (Conservative), and Anna Martin (Liberal Democrat). And our CEO Maggie O’Carroll will be chairing the event! The church is keen to help local people make an informed choice on June 8th and this event can help. Joining together at St Peter's could make a huge impact on your decision.

Rev Kip Crooks, Rector of St Peter’s, says, ‘It’s really important that people engage in this election. Voting is about reflecting on what’s important to us and using our voice to make a positive difference in our communities.’

Maggie agrees with Rev, she believes that ‘We mustn’t take for granted the fact that we have the freedom to vote and that no one’s vote is worth more than another’s; each vote counts, and we should use that right to influence the world we live in.’
So, come along to St Peter’s Church for an evening full of information, debates and passion. The church will be open from 7pm on Sunday, and the Hustings starts at 7:30 pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
